Nick and Jenna’s farm engagement

I’ve been good friends with Jenna’s uncle for years now. She was probably 9 years old when I first met her. Now she’s all grown up and marrying a really genuine guy. Nick is calm, cool, and collected. I can tell he cares for Jenna very much and will treat her well. Good thing too because Jenna’s father is an ex football player. They are getting hitched next year in North Carolina where they live. I can’t wait to photograph this wedding and have a good time. Here are a few photos from the engagement session we did.

Dominick and Jen’s Canton Wedding

Dominick & Jen had a fantastic wedding day. The weather was warm and full of sunshine. They had a beautiful ceremony at St. Joseph’s in Canton. We were lucky enough to have a few hours until the reception to hang out with these two and their party, giving us plenty of time to get great photos around town. Their reception was held at The Metropolitan Center and can be summed up with 2 words … DANCE PARTY! The dance floor was NEVER empty! If you haven’t thought of The Metropolitan for your wedding venue – you should! Their amazing rooftop patio is perfect! This lovely couple is off to Italy for their honeymoon! I know, lucky, right?! Enjoy a few photos from their day …

Here, from Washington DC …. Another fantastic couple!  Another amazing wedding day! This entire bridal party was incredibly fun and seriously good-looking :) ! Jeremy and Ashley started off with a beautiful ceremony in North Canton and ended with a super fun reception in Akron at The Quaker Station. Most memorable reception moment? Ashley’s father’s speech. Simply Amazing, heartfelt, and emotional! The very last photo in this blog post tells it all! Check it out!

Jeremy and Ashley’s Washington DC session

We definitely welcome the chance to shoot in new locations, so when Ashley mentioned that they live in Washington DC – we said “Of course we’ll come to DC!” DC did not disappoint. We took a few extra days to walk around the area! If there’s one place that stood out, it’s The Hirshhorn Museum. It was total fun! You should see it! We enjoyed a pretty awesome day with these two on Saturday….visiting Teddy Roosevelt Island(where Jeremy proposed to Ashley AND Teddy Roosevelt is Ashley’s favorite president) along with a little bit of Georgetown, the National Cathedral(which is amazing), and ending up in Old Town Alexandria just as the rain began to pour down! These guys are pretty great to hang out with and we look forward to their wedding next month(NEXT MONTH? ALREADY?)

Chad and Brittanie

As soon as I heard That Chad and Brittanie wanted photos that were different form the norm I knew it was a good sign. Chad mentioned dramatic lighting and referenced James Dean photos that he liked. Again I was stoked! Their wedding is in September so we did a mini engagement session for their save the dates. 11am isn’t the perfect time of day for dramatic skies or shooting in the open in general but I had a few tricks up my sleeve and we pulled it off. Now I can’t wait for the full engagement session and wedding!

Jeremy and Ashley engagement session “take one”

This is Jeremy and Ashley. They met through a mutual friend running at Walsh University. She is a High School teacher and he owns a timing and event management business in Washington DC. Race DC timing. This was just a small session because we are road tripping to D.C. in the spring for a full on engagement session. They were naturals in front of the camera and we are super excited about shooting their North Canton wedding next year.

Mike and Christine

I know i always say how lucky we are when I talk about our super lovely couples. Once again we have been lucky enough to score with Mike and Christine. It was one of those days that I knew instantly we were going to have some fun. After all, meeting up at Taggarts can only be good, right? We also had a first with these two… Mike’s family owns Tate Cleaners – yep, the one that you see at the corner of 30th street and Martindale Rd…. It’s been there FOREVER! We did a little photo shoot INSIDE the dry cleaners!! Definitely interesting! Another interesting part of this shoot – as you will see – was shooting inside the house that Mike is currently renovating(see last photo). He entered his kitchen into a “Win a new kitchen” contest and can you believe he DID NOT win? Anyway, I loved working with these 2 and wish them the BEST WEDDING DAY ever!!!

Dominick & Jen

Dominick and Jen were in town from Philly  just for the weekend so we were able to squeeze in their engagement session while they were here! The weather reports called for wind and rain but instead we lucked out with some wind and beautiful Fall sunshine! We visited a few of their favorite places… Central Catholic High School, Taggart’s for a Bittner and Napoli’s for pizza … in that order! Here’s a few of our favorite shots from their Friday evening E-session!

Craig and Vanessa Oct 8th. Wedding

Craig and Vanessa owned this wedding day like no other! Every detail was a little bit of him and a little bit of her. I have to admit that I wasn’t quite sure what my thoughts were when I saw her purple wedding dress but the very second I saw her in it, I fell in love with her whole look! The way it looked with her amazing hair color is indescribable! Their flowers were like no other and their change into matching track suits couldn’t have been pulled off better if it was Run DMC himself. Their ceremony was held in The Kathleen Howland Theater, located downstairs in the 2nd April Art Galerie. These 2 had an absolute lovely wedding day and I am happy we were a part of it.
